How can I leave my mail on the pop "Windows Mail" server? Tech Support

How can I leave my mail on the pop "Windows Mail" server?

My issue is that I use "Windows Mail" for my emails.
When I read an email and close it (without deleting), it automatically leaves Windows Mail and goes into my Yahoo trash folder.
It should remain until I manually delete it.
Then, when I do delete it
from Windows Mail, it should be going into my Windows Mail trash folder, not Yahoo's.
Why?? Help!

Some servers automatically do things such as that and there is no avoiding it, even if you specify to leave a copy on the server. I don't know enough about Yahoo to tell.
One thing you might investigate is to see if you can set up an IMAP account and if so, then you might be able to access the Yahoo trash folder from WinMail.
