How to Fix - Adobe Reader X (10.1.1)?

Adobe Reader X (10.1.1)

I have just completed transferring from an old Windows Vista upgraded to Windows 7 using the Windows transfer program.
I have tried to start a .pdf document with the screen coming up of "Adobe Reader has stopped working" and "Windows is checking for a
solution to the problem...".
Adobe will not start.
I am also attempting to get answers from Adobe also.
Do you have any info on this problem?

Download SmartPCFixer to Fix It (Free)

I have no info, but I wouldn't use Adobe Reader in the first place.
I have used Foxit for years and never had an issue with it.
It is also very lightweight and faster than Adobe.
No hassles when updating either.

To check for Windows updates. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer. If any updates are found, click Install updates.

Install the latest updates for Windows and for the program displaying the error. Note that the update for the program might be listed as an optional update on the Windows Update page.

Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
