My Microsoft Word Starter 10 will not open. [Solved]

My Microsoft Word Starter 10 will not open.

I have Windows 7 on my HP computer. When I try to open my Microsoft Word Starte 10 program, it says it cannot be opened, to try again, or try to repair it in the Control Panel. I right clicked that program after going to Control Panel and Programs, but
the repair option does not come up, just Uninstall or Change. I need to get into some of my word documents. Any ideas?
