Can't expand Drive C or delete large unallocated partition

Under Windows 7 Home Premium "disk management," all partitions are NTFS.

I need to widen Drive C so that I may copy files from D: onto it, and then eliminate D:, but C: will not expand, yet there is plenty of room.  Can only shrink.
not expand volumes.

Using EASEUS Partition Master, a better partition utility than Disk management,, from top to bottom of the list of partitions, I see:

I want to somehow merge E: with C:, yet neither program allows me to do that.

C: is where Win 7 is installed, as well as files (documents, etc.) that I am copying from D:, after which I plan to delete D:.
