Cursor jumps all over when I type in Word or email...erases what I type and other annoyances...getting worse...Help please.  I want to throw my new computer out the window!

I would give  this a try:
Go to control panel, mouse, check 'hide mouse while I type', then make sure 'enhance mouse precision' is Unchecked.
(If you do uncheck it then you will probably have to re-adjust mouse speed)
Also I don't know about you, but I'm a sloppy typer, and it tis easy for me to be accidently hitting touch sometimes pad when i type, check your individual settings for touchpad if you have one.
