Solution to Error: Default Search Provider Error

Default Search Provider Error

When IE9 Opens I get this error message- "A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for Internet Explorer".
Then a screen opens for managing search providers, but I can't change anything.
Any changes I make are not saved
 
How can I fix this? I can't even determoine which program is corrupting things.

There's no telling what caused the profile to be corrupted.
You could try a SFC scan and see if it fixes any issues if it does fix something try IE again in your old profile and see if you are still getting that Search Provider error.

If you are still getting the error then you can transfer your stuff over to your new profile
