All images in the internet in both Chrome and Explorer appear blurred/compressed and are downloaded at a fraction of their original size only.
I returned the computer at an earlier, before the problem appeared, stage, to no effect.
The internet
settings (including advanced ones) are standard and all other pictures in my computer, including those transmitted by email, are OK.
This presumably excludes browser and hardware issues and my computer  has no accelerator or similar program to my knowledge.
Could it relate to the internet provider?

Open Action Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under System and Security, clicking Review your computer's status.

Make sure your computer has at least the minimum amount of random access memory (RAM) required to run the program that is displaying the error. Look for the program requirements online or in the packaging information.
