Hello,
 
I am wondering if there is an option to automatically number equations in Word 2010.
So basically everytime a new equation is inserted, Word will automatically generate a number for the equation based on the next available equation number

You need to do some setup, because there isn't anything that's completely built-in.

Although it was written for Word 2007, it's still accurate for Word 2010.

Tweak IE Options
  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • Go to "Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab".
  • Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions".
  • Click "Apply".
  • Reboot your computer.
