I have a PC which I bought last fall in Japan, with the Japanese Windows7 Home Premium installed, Service Pack 1.  This is a Japanese language system, yet certain asian fonts will not display.  Most asian fonts are fine, just a few won't display, both
as names of shortcuts on the desktop, and as headings in Outlook (although the actual letter contents do display).  Certain programs, such as IBM's HomePage Builder, have only gobbledygook for the dropdown menus.  But the ones that don't display are not Chinese
characters; they are almost exclusively Japanese language programs.

Running System Update Readiness Command
