My internet explorer will prompt it had stopped working.

even though websites surfed were certify clear by Mcafee.
It defines that there is a problem with this "webpage caused internet explorer to close and re-open".
Even after it had re-open I still cannot go into the other folders of the webpage and this error
message keep prompting .
I am using a guest accounnt to login and surf the IE but do not face the problem if using the account with adminster rights.

By default Internet explorer 8 comes pre- installed on Windows7 operating system.
I would suggest you to uninstall Internet explorer 9 and check if it works properly with Internet Explorer 8.

Since the beginning of Dec.2011,I've had a lot of unfamilliar Companies show up on my laptop:(Cisco,Dritek,),etc.and I can't seem to ascertain what their purpose is,
without contacting them.I've found that contacting them sometimes leads to unending sales pitches.

Dritek is not so well known, but is the producer of laptop software called Launch Manager.
Your best bet is to get on the internet and do some research on the companies or applications on your laptop that are unfamiliar to you.

And, make sure you have up to date antivirus software installed and running, and that your firewall is enabled.

usb-serial controller problem?.

Hi

I am using windows 7 before windows 8.
In windows 7 I used windows xp's hyper-terminal software for connecting usb-serial controller.
I also used the driver provided by microsoft via windows update and it worked fine.

However in windows 8 even if driver installed it doesnt work.
And also it shows driver not installed.

Driver: pl-2303 driver serial port driver.

The above driver worked for xp/vista/7.

So is there any new driver for usb serial controller?
